Hi doctor!!! I had two missed miscarriages during the second trimester. I have hypothyroidism and I take medicine for that.my Lucas anticoagulant result is L A screen/L A confirm - 1.16 -1.2 . All the other reports are normal.can you explain my situation?thanks
Two miscarriages may or may not be related to your medical conditions. Proper control of hypothyroidism can improve the outcome of next pregnancy. In addition, presence of lupus anticoagulant in blood can be related to a condition called anti-phospolipid syndrome. Pregnant mothers with anti-phospholipid syndrome need some medications (eg. aspirin, low molecular weight heparin) to prevent adverse outcome. Meet an obstetrician early when you become pregnant again.
