Who this covers
VOG.LK is a Sinhala women's-health education site. The data controller is Sugabi Medicare (Private) Limited, No. 560, Mahabage Road, Ragama, Sri Lanka. Questions about this policy: [email protected].

When you read an article or an answer
No sign-up is needed. Our web server, and the security and content-delivery service in front of it, automatically receive your IP address and browser details, which stay in server logs for a short time for security. We use no analytics services and no advertising networks.
When you ask the doctor a question
The question form collects your name, age, email address and the question. The email address is used only to tell you when the answer is ready. Your IP address and browser are recorded with the question, to stop one person sending many questions at once.
- Public questions are published on the site with the answer. Your name is shown partly masked, with your age; your email address is never shown. If you would rather names, phone numbers or other details in your question were not published, leave them out.
- Private questions are not published. The answer can be read only through a secure link sent to your email address (valid for 30 days).
Questions and answers are kept as an educational archive. You can ask at any time for your question to be removed, or for your name and contact details to be removed from it (see "Your rights").
When you use Ask VOG
Ask VOG is an AI assistant that answers from the articles and answers published on this site. It is not a doctor and does not give a diagnosis.
- The messages you type are sent to an AI service outside Sri Lanka to produce the reply. Under its business terms that data is not used to train AI models.
- To improve the answers we keep conversations for 90 days. No name, IP address or account is attached, only a random number your browser generates, so we cannot link a conversation to you and cannot retrieve it on request. Please do not type names, phone numbers or other identifying details. After 90 days conversations are deleted automatically.
- To limit how many questions one connection can ask per hour, a salted hash of your IP address is kept for three hours; the IP address itself is not stored. A copy of the conversation stays in your own browser and "New chat" clears it.
When you contact us
The name, email address and message from the contact form reach us by email and are not stored on the website.

Some articles embed YouTube or Vimeo videos; playing them may set those companies' cookies, under their own policies.
Who sees the data
The doctor who answers the questions and the clinic's small team. Data is not sold and not shared for advertising. Services that process it on our behalf: web hosting outside Sri Lanka, a security and content-delivery service, an AI service that produces the Ask VOG replies, and email delivery. Data is disclosed to authorities only where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 you can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it (including removing a question from the site, or your name from it), or to object to its use. Write to [email protected]; we answer within the period the Act sets. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.
Children
This site is for adults. If we learn that a published question came from someone under 18, we remove it.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page is updated.
